W – Wickedest Witch – Literary Smackdown #AtoZChallenge 2016

We are almost at the end of a wonderful AtoZChallenge as we arrive at W. Today we are asking you to vote for the Wickedest Witch. We all love to hate the baddies and we have picked two of the worst to vie for your votes.

Who will you vote for in 

• The Grand High Witch (The Witches)
  This witch can conceal herself and look like a very beautiful woman, but the true ugliness of her soul shines through when she takes off the wig and the disguise. She hates all children and in Roald Dahl’s tale she has a plan to turn them all into mice and then kill them. She is, in fact, “the most evil woman in creation”, which has to be worth a vote.

• The Wicked Witch of the West (The Wizard of Oz)
  Who hasn’t been terrified of this witch as a child? She is the green, cackling baddy from The Wizard of Oz, or not so green from the book. She wants to conquer Oz and she wants Dorothy’s slippers to do it, whether it be the ruby slippers of the movie, or the silver slippers of the book. She will do anything to get what she wants and she has flying monkeys as minions, which must be worth something.

What is the AtoZChallenge?

For those who don’t know, the AtoZChallenge is a giant blog hop with thousands of blogs taking part. Every day in April, apart from Sundays, these blogs will post using a letter of the alphabet at a prompt, e.g. A on 1st, B on 2nd etc.

It has been running since 2010 and was thought up by the lovely Arlee Bird who put out a challenge and it has grown and grown since. It is a superb way to meet other bloggers and to have a huge amount of fun.
