For once Q was an easy letter as we welcome you to Wittegen Press and ask you to vote for the most Quintessential Quest in the Literary Smackdown. We have a choice between two epic classics and we ask you to cast your eyes over them and pick which deserves the title in today’s AtoZChallenge.
- Into Mordor (Lord of the Rings)
As we all know, one does not simply walk into Mordor. What started off as a fellowship of men, dwarves, elves and of course hobbits, became two hobbits on an impossible path into incalcuable danger. Their only guide on this journey is an insane creature who might be more foe than friend. Surely the bravery their bravery deserves a vote?
or
- Quest for the Golden Fleece (Jason and the Argonauts)
The Golden Fleece – symbol of authority and kingship, but Jason didn’t need it to command his crew of mighty Argonauts. Through many dangers they followed him to seek the fleece, fighting giants and sorcery in their mighty quest. Their search was epic. Do heroes such as the mighty Hercules have your vote?

What is the AtoZChallenge?
For those who don’t know, the AtoZChallenge is a giant blog hop with thousands of blogs taking part. Every day in April, apart from Sundays, these blogs will post using a letter of the alphabet at a prompt, e.g. A on 1st, B on 2nd etc.It has been running since 2010 and was thought up by the lovely Arlee Bird who put out a challenge and it has grown and grown since. It is a superb way to meet other bloggers and to have a huge amount of fun.
I voted for Jason and the Argonauts, since I adore Greek mythology and the classics.
One does not simply vote for Mordor. But it still gets my vote.
