Greetings and welcome to the letter E and day 5 of the AtoZChallenge. We are going for something slightly different today in that we want to know who embodies the most Exquisite Evil. We have chosen two ageless characters who both have a significant number of bodies to their names.
- Dracula
Bram Stoker‘s Prince of Darkness is the ultimate in seductive evil. A Count in his country of Transylvania he comes to England to find a new home. Here he seduces Lucy Westenra, making her into the undead, but this is part of his undoing. However, even Lucy’s three suitors along with Jonathan Harker, under the guidance of Abraham Van Helsing cannot beat him without losing some of their own. He is the ultimate release from the confines of moral society, surely that is worth your vote?
or
- The White Witch
The self-proclaimed Queen of C.S.Lewis’ Narnia, Jadis brings eternal Winter, but never Christmas. She is the harsh nature of cold, without any of the joy. She originally caused all life on her own world to die and ended up in Narnia by mistake, where she was subdued, but had already gained immortality. Eventually escaping her confines, she took over all of Narnia, keeping it under her icy control. Those she wishes to dispose of she turns to stone. A prophesy is her only weakness, isn’t that worth a vote?

There are many forms of evil, we chose two with fantastical powers, how do you prefer to read about evil, with powers, or simply human?

What is the AtoZChallenge?
For those who don’t know, the AtoZChallenge is a giant blog hop with thousands of blogs taking part. Every day in April, apart from Sundays, these blogs will post using a letter of the alphabet at a prompt, e.g. A on 1st, B on 2nd etc.It has been running since 2010 and was thought up by the lovely Arlee Bird who put out a challenge and it has grown and grown since. It is a superb way to meet other bloggers and to have a huge amount of fun.
Dracula – all the way!
(I prefer the good, solid, dependable, never-changing, old-fashioned vampire… sparklies with gorgeous abs who flourish in the light, doesn’t do it for me…LOL)
Writer In Transit
I just love vampires, but I prefer if they don’t sparkle 😉
Dracula would be my choice as well.
Mason
Alex’s Ninja Minion
Yay for the count with fangs 🙂
Oh this is a toughie; both are evil in their own unique way. I’m going with the White Witch. I remember feeling creepy during the movie during her scenes.
thanks for visiting!

Have to vote for the White Witch for several reasons.
I read the first book and watched the UK series.
Also, one of my favourite Super Heroes is called the White Witch.
And finally, I loved the Doctor Who episode that mimicked a good portion of the Narnia stories. Such great fun.
I went the way of the White Witch. She really stuck with me after seeing that movie. I’m kind of, “Oh, Dracula, how’s it going?” these days. Maybe a case of over-exposure.
HOW CAN I CHOOSE? Two of my favorite characters!
Dracula is a long, long time fave, but Jadis? Oh my love for her is pure.
Favorite? Jadis
Most Evil: Dracula!
